Friday 10th September 2021

Good morning!

I hope you had a good day yesterday - and you managed to get to the work in time 🙈

Here are your tasks for today!

Maths:

WALT: Use numbers up to 10, 000, 000

Begin with the next day of Flashback 4

Here is the video for today's lesson

Here is the worksheet

Here are the answers for you

English:

WALT: Use commas correctly.

Today we are going to apply what we learned about yesterday.

Have another read of this PowerPoint and here is a video that you might find useful.

I would like for you to write 3 sentences for each of the following:

  • 3 sentences with commas for a list
  • 3 sentences with commas to mark clauses (think conjunction and verb)
  • 3 sentences with fronted adverbials
You can write these sentences about anything at all.

RE

WALT: Consider first Chapter of the Bible.

We are going to be thinking about the story of creation today. We are going to be detectives to see if we can understand the message of the Christian story of creation.

Begin by reading this passage from the Bible.

What did you think of it? Make notes at the side explaining what you think is happening.

Next, watch this video - compare it to the written version. Which one did you prefer and why?

Finally, I would like you to think about these questions:

How does this part of the bible make you feel?

What do you find interesting about it?

Is there anything puzzling about it?

Note down your responses to these questions

Music:

WALT: understand pulse and rhythm

We are going to be thinking about pulse and rhythm in school. This is hard to put on a blog so I have found a lesson from the Oak National Academy that will give you an idea of what we're up to!

Follow the instructions on this lesson

I hope you have a great day and a good weekend - even if you do have to stay indoors 😞
