Thank you!

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you, and your mums and dads, for all of your really thoughtful gifts. You may have seen that I've been wearing my Arsenal hoodie today - I love it! In fact, I love all the gifts and kind words that I have received and will keep the picture of all of your names on the wall.

I'm sorry that I couldn't write to you all individually but we can't send things like that home at the moment otherwise I would have done so.

You all worked so hard this year and have done such an amazing job. This has been a year like no other and you are a class like no other.

Have a lovely summer holiday and good luck with everything next year!

Be good and thank you again,

Mr Hayden

Here is a note from Mrs Piper:

Hello Class 6,

I just wanted to send you all a message to say thank you very much for the lovely presents that you gave me.

I hope you've enjoyed your last term at school, even though things have been a lot different this year. I've really enjoyed working with you over the last seven weeks and will miss seeing you all at school. Thank you for all the funny moments and for teaching me new words like yeet and bruhman. 😂

Wishing you lots of luck 🍀 for starting secondary school, not that you'll need it - just be yourselves! 🌟

I hope you all have a great time at Croft Farm and a wonderful summer holiday. ☀️🕶

Best wishes,

Mrs Piper

And here is one from Miss Johnson:

What a lovely surprise yesterday when I was given my gorgeous hamper from Y6!  Thank you so much - there are lots of items in there that will help me to relax 😊!

All the best for a super summer and a positive start to Y7.

Normally we would have a leavers' service at Gloucestershire cathedral run by the Church of England.

We haven't been able to do that this year but they have made an online service for you that you can find here:

Virtual Sports Day

A special message from Mrs Prescott:

Dear Parents,

Normally at the end of the year, we would spend a day all together out on the field, taking part in our School Sports Day. We may not be able to do that this year, but it doesn't mean we can't have some sports day fun.

Instead, this year we will be having a Virtual Sports Day. There are 5 challenges for you to complete to win house points for your house. For all the details, please click here . The competition starts now!

You have until Wednesday 16th July to get your scores in. Please email them to the schools Admin email account, with the Subject ' Virtual Sports Day' and your name child's name and year.

Winners will be announced on Friday 18th July, along with the winning house!

Good luck!

Mrs Prescott

Monday 6th July

Hi Class 6!

I hope that you've had a good weekend!

First of all, here is an assembly about hope for you to watch:

Hope assembly

This week we're changing things up a little bit and we are going to be working on a project based around creating a theme park. This project will let you use your English and Maths skills to solve a variety of problems to help you to develop and open your very own theme park.

The afternoon lessons this week must be done with an adult so make sure that you speak to somebody at home so that they can help you to access the resources and talk to you about what you have learned.

Note to parents: there are two PowerPoint presentations that you will find in the resources. One for boy and one for girls. I forgot to mention it on the task sheet so thought that I would point it out now.
