Maths:

We have been looking at dividing fractions by integers. It is a little different to the lesson we did on Monday so pay careful attention to the video to help you.

We have been looking at some more of the story of Northern Lights. Read the pages in the resources here: resources

Then we looked at creating expanded noun phrases. Remind yourself about these using this powerpoint: Powerpoint

Then use page 12 of the resources. Use the head noun on the left and the rest of the sentence on the right. Develop a fantastic expanded noun phrases using the head noun and your wonderful description. 

Computing: 

Yesterday we were deconstructing code. We looked at sections of code from Kodu and wrote out what they were telling the objects to do. Use the 3 star page from the link below and work out what the code is telling Kodu to do. 

Decoding code

Then when you have finished - and if you can - go on Kodu and use some of the ideas from the sheet. See if you can programme Kodu to collect objects, keep score and win the game. 

You may need to download Kodu but YOU MUST ASK PERMISSION BEFORE YOU DO!

We have been looking at explanation texts. Here is an example of one that I have written about collecting Pokémon cards. Look at how I have laid it out using sub headings, I have used lots of technical language and a formal tone. 

Plan your own explanation text using this Planning sheet. You can explain something that you are interested. Some examples from the class were: Why is Tik Tok so popular? How to play Minecraft? How to look after new born puppies. So you choose something that you know a lot about that you would like to explain.
