English task
Today you are going to plan some informal speech for your report. Have another look at the report about cats killing birds. In paragraph 3, you can see that someone has been interviewed and the speech has been written down here. Notice that there is a change in the tone. This is informal writing. Your challenge during this piece of work is going to be to write formally during your report writing, and informally during your speech writing.
To make sure that we get this right, I would like for you to imagine that you are interviewing someone about your subject matter. Think of 3 questions you could ask them. Write the questions down and underneath, write what the response would be from the person that you are interviewing. Don't forget speech marks!
