Morning everyone!
Here are your tasks for the day:
Wellbeing Week
Express yourself!
Choose an afternoon lesson (computing or French) that you could maybe do another time. Use this time to express yourself in some way. Make something that you enjoy and express yourself! It could be:
Making music
Drawing/painting
Making something crafty
Sing/dance
Creating a game on Kodu or other computer software
Anything! Be imaginative and send in a picture/video of what you do.
Reading:
Login to Reading Plus and complete 2 more of the reading challenges. This should take you 30 minutes and you should be building up your combos! Remember, I can see how you're getting on so do your best!
Spelling
Play spelling shed for 15 minutes.
English Task.
Having read through and identified features of a formal report, today we are going to begin planning our own report. You can do this on anything that you find interesting. We will discuss ideas during the Zoom meeting. But some you might think about are:
Homework should be banned.
Arsenal are having a good season.
Cats make the best pets.
To help you to plan your report, I would like for you to think about bubble planning.
Here is an example for one of the topics above:
Write the title of your report in the middle of the page. Around it draw 3 large bubbles. Write the topic of your paragraphs at the top of each bubble. Underneath, write what the introductory sentence might be. Then write your notes about that topic in the bubble to help you with your writing. You can use the internet to research anything that you might find useful.

Computing
Today you are going to be using a spreadsheet to plan a party. You have a budget of £60!
Begin by looking at this PowerPoint presentation.
Then use this spreadsheet (Don't forget to download it!)

Remember to copy and paste the food/drink and the amount into the cells in your list! Then think carefully about the calculations that you need to complete to work out the total for that food item, the overall total and how much of your budget is left.

Begin by watching the video.
After the video there are 2 ways to complete the activity:
1) Use a google account to create a web page online You must have permission to use a Google account with an email address so make sure that you ask someone at home!
2) Design your webpage on paper. There is an example in the lesson that you can follow.
